The Raha Lab was very excited about O’llenecia Sauve’s participation in the 3-minute thesis competition. Her talk about the “Power” of the mitochondria even spawned enthusiasm from a very young fan of her research.
The Raha Lab celebrates Chitman’s achievement in being awarded an Ontario Graduate Scholarship in 2016-2017. To receive such an award at the outset of one’s research career is truly amazing and indicator of Chitman’s academic achievements in her undergraduate program (The Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization Program at McMaster).
The Raha Lab extends their heartiest congratulations to Michael Wong, A National Vanier Scholar in 2015-2016. Michael’s exemplary work during his Master’s research with Dr. Daniel Hardy at Western University and his pioneering PhD research in the area of Organ’s on-a-Chip along with his deep involvement with community engagement earned him one of the most prestigious graduate scholarships in Canada.
Michael was also acknowledged as a leader in the Medical Sciences Graduate program for driving the student led initiative called Industry Link, as well as outstanding academic performance in his graduate curricula. He was selected as the Medical Sciences Representative to the attend the CIHR sponsored conference for Leaders of the Future in Winnipeg in the spring of 2017.
